Salem Farm Supply, Inc. is a family-owned, five location dealership serving Eastern NY and Western New England. Founded by Paul Tomlinson in 1953 as an International Harvester dealer, the business established a reputation for being farmer-focused and supporting customers at the highest level. Salem Farm Supply became a Kubota dealer in 1980 and has seen the product line grow from an initial offering of compact tractors, into an industry leading line of tractors, turf, construction and agricultural equipment. Salem Farm Supply was acquired by the The Lewis family in 1988 and has been owned and operated by the family ever since.
In 2012, Carole Lewis became the President of the business, and substantial growth followed. In 2015, Salem Farm Supply was recognized as the Farm Equipment Magazine Dealership of The Year. In 2018, Salem Farm Supply acquired Columbia Tractor from The Kinne family, located in Claverack, NY. This location is situated in the Hudson River Valley and serves a diversified market of agricultural, landscape, municipal and homeowner markets. In 2024, Salem Farm Supply acquired Randall Implements Co. from Wes Ostrander. Randall Implements Co. is located in Fultonville, NY and serves similar markets along the Mohawk River stretching west from the Captial district. In March of 2025, Salem Farm Supply acquired dealerships in Charlton and South Glens Falls from Kevin and Becky Emerich, of Emerich Sales and Service. These two locations have allowed Salem to further diversify and develop our reputation in the professional turf and landscaping industry.
Today, Salem Farm Supply operates these five dealer locations with approximately 100 employees. We strive to provide industry-leading products, matched with the best service and parts support available. Salem Farm Supply is partnered with strong brands such as Case IH, Kubota, Krone, Kuhn, Landpride, Ferris, Cub Cadet, ECHO, and many other short-line manufacturers. Our knowledgeable and experienced employees share strong connections to these brands and are passionate about the products we bring to the market.
